Dr. Holcomb works in a variety of styles, genres, and traditions and in many different studio contexts.
On Christmas Day
In 2019 Dr. Holcomb recorded with Jazz pianist Paul Edis for his highly acclaimed Christmas album, On Christmas Day.
Joy by Lajente
Recorded in 2021, during the height of lockdown, this is an Ibiza-style dance track featuring brass arrangments and playing from Dr. Holcomb. This track has been featured on Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing.
Jetty's End by Hector Gannet
Recorded and released in 2025, Jetty's End is the first single from the forrthcoming album "The Great Shakedown" by Hector Gannet. Dr. Holcomb wrote and arranged all the horn parts for this track and the record.

Specialising in music of Afro-American origin, Dr. Holcomb has recorded in many varying styles including Jazz, Big Band, Rock, Swing, Blues, R&B, Pop, Latin, Salsa, and more.
Composer
Dr. Holcomb regularly composes full pieces and horn/brass parts for existing compositions.
Most recently Dr. Holcomb has composed all the brass/horn parts for the forthcoming Hector Gannet album "The Great Shakedown".
Arranger

Dr. Holcomb regularly arranges for vary ensembles and formats, most recently for the combined youth ensembles at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. This ensemble was made up of more than 90 musicians
